What is MAT?
Medication Assisted Treatment (MAT)
Medication-Assisted Treatment (MAT) helps people who are addicted to opioids to find freedom from substance use dependence through the assistance of with the help of medications (called Vivitrol and Suboxone). These medications are offered and prescribed as a part of a comprehensive MAT plan that also includes mental health counseling.
CommuniCare provides MAT to youth ages 15 and older, who are in need of treatment for opioid drug dependence.
Medi-Cal and most private insurances cover the cost of MAT services. Families and guardians are encouraged to contact us to learn more about this program.
